Tab-level choice (ped_last_tab) already survived sign-out/in via
localStorage, but sub-pill and sub-tab selections inside a loaded tab
lived only in memory — they reset to defaults after a reload or
browser restart. Now the following are persisted under the ped_ui/
namespace:
- Calculators nav pill (BP / BMI / GCS / …)
- Bedside sub-pill (neonatal / airway / …)
- Well Visit sub-tab (byvisit / milestones / shadess / note)
- Physical Exam Guide age group + system
Implementation:
- Added public/js/ui-state.js — a ~30-line window.UIState wrapper
around localStorage with a ped_ui/ prefix and try/catch around both
read and write (Safari private mode + quota errors silently no-op).
- Each tab's click handler now also calls UIState.set; each tab's
init path calls UIState.get and replays the saved value through
the same function a click would call — so there is exactly one
code path for "show this selection", whether it came from the user
or from a restore. For Bedside, the restore additionally listens
for tabChanged so the lazy-loaded HTML is guaranteed to exist by
the time we re-activate the pill.
Tests:
- e2e/tests/ui-state-persistence.spec.js — 5 specs × 2 viewports =
10 tests. Each clicks the feature, reloads the page, and asserts
the same pill / subtab / dropdown value is still active. Catches
any future regression in the persistence wiring.
- e2e/tests/soap-hospital-workflow.spec.js — fills SOAP transcript,
generates via mocked AI, clears, opens/closes load popovers; also
smoke-tests the Hospital Course save-bar.
Suite: 250 passed / 0 failed (+ 20 over the last run).
Adds an age-appropriate reflex reference after the Expected Growth /
Feeding block for each well-visit age. Each entry shows the reflex
name, an expected-status chip (Present / Fading / Integrated /
Up-going / Down-going), and a short clinical note covering how to
elicit it, when it should fade, and what abnormal persistence means.
Covers primitive reflexes for newborn-6mo (rooting, sucking, Moro,
palmar/plantar grasp, tonic neck, stepping, Galant, tongue thrust,
Babinski), the transition at 6-18mo (protective extension, parachute,
plantar-response switch), and adult-pattern DTRs/frontal-release
screening from age 2 through 21.
- wellVisit.js now handles tabChanged for vaxschedule and catchup tabs
so renderFullSchedule() and renderCatchUp() fire when those tabs open
- Replace Quill CDN with local /vendor/quill.min.js + quill.snow.css
(CDN was unreachable in local/offline environments)
All JS modules were running immediately (IIFE/DOMContentLoaded) but
tab HTML is lazy-loaded from /components/*.html, causing null errors
on every addEventListener call. Each module now listens for tabChanged
with its tab name and initializes once after the DOM is ready.
Also: quiz question/explanation boxes changed to textarea for
multi-line support; quiz display uses sanitizeHtml() so formatted
text (bold, lists, etc.) renders correctly.
- Growth reference data by age (newborn through 21y): expected weight/length/HC
gains per day/month/year, puberty growth spurt details
- Feeding/nutrition guidance by age: formula amounts, breastfeeding frequency,
solid food introduction timeline, juice limits, milk transitions, calorie needs
- BMI/obesity classification per AAP 2023 CPG + CDC Extended BMI:
Underweight, Healthy, Overweight, Obesity Class I/II/III with action items
(≥120% and ≥140% of 95th percentile thresholds)
- Weight-for-length guidance for children <2 years
- "By Visit" panel now shows growth reference + feeding guidance + BMI table
- Well visit AI prompt updated to include growth assessment, BMI classification,
and feeding counseling in generated notes
- Backend injects age-appropriate growth/nutrition data into AI context
- Fix 2FA status stuck at "Loading...": export load2FAStatus globally so
app.js tabChanged handler can call it when navigating via sidebar
- Fix admin models silent failure: add error message + retry button on catch
- Fix save encounter doubles: persist _savedEncId_* to sessionStorage so
page refresh reuses existing record instead of inserting a duplicate;
add _savingInProgress guard to prevent race-condition double-saves
- Desktop sidebar collapsible: add collapse/expand buttons (not collapsed
by default), state saved to localStorage; hidden on mobile
- Copy to Visit Note now also copies SSHADESS assessment to wv-shadess-text
- Store selected visit age in window._wellVisitAge + sessionStorage so
other tabs can read the patient's age
- Bigger screening/vaccine boxes: min-height on wv-vax-list, wv-screen-list,
wv-visit-detail; slightly more padding on vaccine items
- Wire New Patient (clearTab) buttons to document click handler
- Add Well Visit tab with three sub-views: By Visit Age, Full Vaccine Schedule, Catch-Up Schedule
- By Visit Age: shows ICD-10/CPT billing codes, vaccines due with dose info, measurements, sensory/developmental/behavioral/procedure screenings, oral health, notes
- Full Schedule: scrollable table of all vaccines vs all visit ages
- Catch-Up Schedule: per-vaccine minimum ages, intervals, and catch-up notes per CDC 2025
- Add pediatricScheduleData.js (1719-line AAP 2025 Bright Futures dataset)
- Add wellVisit.js for tab logic (lazy-initialized on first tab activation)
- Fire tabChanged CustomEvent on tab switch for lazy initialization
- Add Well Visit CSS styles to styles.css
