transition to the <code>Valid</code> state once the first call to <code>with</code> happens
and the initialization expression succeeds.</p>
<p>Keys in the <code>Uninitialized</code> state will yield a reference to the closure
passed to <code>with</code> so long as the initialization routine does not panic.</p>
