# GitHub Pages 404 Error - Solution
## Problem
When trying to access the GitHub Pages site, a 404 error appears:
```
404 File not found
The site configured at this address does not contain the requested file.
```
## Root Cause
The issue is that **GitHub Pages has not been enabled** for this repository. While all the necessary files (`index.html`, `.nojekyll`, and `App Icons/` directory) exist in the main branch, GitHub Pages must be manually enabled through the repository settings.
## Solution
### Step 1: Enable GitHub Pages
1. Go to the repository settings: https://github.com/diluteoxygen/Android-Launcher-Comparison-Table/settings/pages
2. Under "Build and deployment":
- **Source**: Select "Deploy from a branch"
- **Branch**: Select "main" and "/ (root)"
- Click "Save"
3. Wait 2-5 minutes for GitHub to build and deploy your site
4. Your site will be available at: **https://diluteoxygen.github.io/Android-Launcher-Comparison-Table/**
### Step 2: Verify the Deployment
Once enabled, visit https://diluteoxygen.github.io/Android-Launcher-Comparison-Table/ to confirm the site is working.
## Files Already in Place
✅ All necessary files are already present in the main branch:
- `index.html` - The main HTML file with interactive comparison table
- `.nojekyll` - Prevents Jekyll processing
- `App Icons/` - Directory containing launcher icons
- `README.md` - Updated with GitHub Pages link
- `LICENSE` - GPL-3.0 license file
## Why This Happens
GitHub Pages is not enabled by default for repositories. It must be manually configured through the repository settings. Once enabled, GitHub will automatically deploy the site from the selected branch whenever changes are pushed.
## No Code Changes Needed
The index.html file and all supporting files already exist and are correctly configured in the main branch (added in PR #4). No additional code changes are required - only the repository settings need to be updated to enable GitHub Pages deployment.
